Welcome to the new site!

Wow…. I can’t believe it’s actually done. After hours of planning, importing content, stressing over manually changing website logos on old reviews on goodreads…. I’m thrilled that it’s all over and I can finally sit back and do what I love most.

Just a quick new feature that I want to go over with this new platform: the navigation menu. As soon as you enter the site, you’ll see a little tab that says “Show.” That tab has all of my tags that were on the original blog organized in one place for access. Since the font for the word “Show” was originally way too big (to the point where it covered a portion of the title of the site) I’ve modified it to be much smaller, although it took me forever to figure out how to do that without having access to custom CSS (coding) with this free account. The social media link to the Facebook page is also in that menu at the bottom.

Unfortunately, I was unable to import the quotes gadget used on the original site because of the layout of this new medium. Overall, it’s a pretty small loss to me (because it would have drawn attention away from the posts I have on here with the way this is set up) but I wanted to let you guys know anyway.

And I just have to admit, I am in love with the new title page for the blog! Like everything else, it took forever to find backgrounds that actually looked good, but I love the way it worked out.

Anyway, enough rambling about nonsense from me. You’ll see that wordpress added a new post because this is all so new and I want to reiterate its message:
